Proud Theater-Green Bay to Host Community Workshop September 22nd

Proud Theater-Green Bay is coming, and we want you to be part of the excitement! If you are a youth between the ages of 13 and 18 who identifies as part of the LGBTQ+ spectrum and have a strong desire to tell your story to make the world a better place through theater, this is the event for you! And, if you are a community member who likes to work with you and create original theater, this would be the perfect time to see what we do and get involved! In order to introduce Proud Theater to the Green Bay area, Proud Theater will be hosting a fun and informative community workshop for LGBTQ+ youth and members of the Green Bay community who are interested in helping launch a chapter of Proud Theater in the area! All are welcome to attend.

The event will be held on September 22, 2018, from 1-3PM at the Union Congregational UCC Church, located at 716 South Madison Street in Green Bay. Refreshments will be served.

The workshop will include a short performance from youth currently involved with Proud Theater across the state, and then develop short theatrical pieces based on your stories using the Proud Theater development process. The workshop is designed to show people what Proud Theater is and what we can do in your community. Stick around after the workshop for a discussion on what will be happening next as we move toward launching a Proud Theater chapter in Green Bay.

Proud Theater and Art & Soul Innovations would like to thank the LaForce Family Foundation for making this event and Proud Theater-Green Bay possible.
