It’s Giving Tuesday on November 27, and Proud Theater (a project of Art and Soul Innovations, Inc.) would love for you to join the Fearless Hearts Club by donating to this amazing organization and helping us continue our expansion across the state of Wisconsin!
Proud Theater is an LGBTQIA+ youth theater organization that services youth around the state of Wisconsin using theater as a tool of self-exploration and expression. The pieces, poetry, spoken word, dance, and music the youth create in turn gets performed in the community at large through public performances and workshops – all designed to change the hearts and minds of people regarding LGBTQIA+ issues and rights.
This year has not only seen Proud Theater grow to six chapters in Wisconsin, it has also seen an uptick in the number of requests we’ve received to do our work around the state. More and more, people are requesting our services at school functions, social justice events and organizations, churches, teacher and mental health conferences, businesses, and youth-development events, to name a few. We do workshops, performances, and overall create important bonds between all communities in the state – all through the voices of the youth we serve.
This is where your help is needed now more than ever! You can help us create a bigger and ultimately thriving Proud Theater organization that can reach even further into the state of Wisconsin, and beyond! Every donation received, no matter how small or large, goes back into the organization and helps propel Proud Theater forward in growth and sustainability.
2019 will be Proud Theater’s 20th anniversary serving the state. Your generous donations will ensure that our growth continues for upcoming decades and that the voices of our LGBTQIA+ youth and community are heard loud and clear in the future!
