SIGNAL BOOST: George Floyd March in Wausau

It is incredibly important to use our voices to amplify those of marginalized communities. We plan to SIGNAL BOOST important events and other happenings in a show of solidarity with all marginalized communities. The death of George Floyd at the hands of the police has sparked many feelings as we grapple with continued police brutality in the midst of a global pandemic. We stand with communities of color in this fight and will work towards coliberation for all.

A black man with his eyes closed is at the center of the image, with flowers forming a circular frame around him. The words "Justice for George" are above.

We strongly encourage folks who are able to to join us at the George Floyd March in downtown Wausau, WI on Saturday, June 6 2020. The event will begin on the 400 Block at 10am with speakers. Starting at about 11am, the march will move from the 400 Block to City Hall at 407 Grant Street.

The march will be a peaceful event. City of Wausau Police have been informed of the event and will be present, though Wausau Mayor Katie Rosenberg and Chief of Police Ben Bliven assure that they will be there to protect protestors.
