DESCRIPTION:\n\nRecently\, the United States Department of Health and Human
  Services Office for Civil Rights finalized a rule that removes protection
 s for queer and trans people in health care and health insurance. This is 
 part of a larger trend of insisting that existing protections against sex 
 discrimination do not protect people on the basis of gender identity or se
 xual or romantic orientation. Currently\, there are no explicit protection
 s for queer and trans people in federal law\, and there are no explicit pr
 otections against discrimination for trans people at the state level in Wi
 sconsin. This expansion of the ability to discriminate must end.\n\nJoin W
 ausau Transfam Alliance and Art &amp\; Soul Innovations on Saturday\, June
  20th at 1pm for the Rally for Trans Rights. The rally will take place at 
 Yawkey Park in downtown Wausau (320 Grant Street\; across from Wausau City
  Hall). We will have speakers talk about what this change means\, and abou
 t what we can do locally and in Wisconsin. This change impacts all queer p
 eople\, but is likely to impact trans people the most.\n\nPublic health is
  extremely important. We expect participants to adhere to social distancin
 g guidelines and wear a mask due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Extra m
 asks will be given to those who arrive without one.\n
